Pipe bombs and cocaine: Jim Jordan opens latest Biden impeachment hearing
House Oversight/screen grab

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) used his opening remarks at a House hearing on the impeachment of President Joe Biden to opine on pipe bombs and cocaine.

"Who planted the pipe bombs on January 6th?" Jordan asked to kick off the House Oversight hearing on Wednesday. "Nobody seems to know. Who leaked the [Supreme Court's] Dobbs draft opinion? You know, the leak that led to an assassination attempt on Justice Kavanaugh."

"How about this one? Who left cocaine at the White House?" he continued. "Biden administration doesn't seem to have time to answer these questions."

Jordan said investigators were "too busy putting together a sweetheart deal for Hunter Biden."

"You know what Democrats do have time for?" he said. "Going after [former] President Trump."

"Now Democrats say how dare, how dare Republicans investigate Joe Biden?" Jordan remarked. "How dare they look into the money, the business, and the brand... Access to the brand and the brand was Joe Biden."

"Today, we're going to learn more about that brand."

Wednesday's hearing is the latest in the GOP's attempt to impeach Biden that has hit many snags — and that even some Republicans have suggested should be put to rest.

Last month, the key witness against Biden, Alexander Smirnov, was arrested and accused of lying to the FBI. The Department of Justice also suspects him of being connected to Russian intelligence services.
