MSNBC's Joe Scarborough blasted Donald Trump legal adviser John Eastman for blaming former VP Mike Pence for the Jan. 6 insurrection.
The conservative attorney drafted a memo that laid out an unconstitutional strategy to overturn Trump's election loss, and the Washington Post reported that Eastman emailed a top Pence aid during the U.S. Capitol riot blaming the former vice president for the violence that ensued.
"We've got the email," Scarborough said. "We've read the email. This is very clear that this is exactly what he's doing. He's blaming Mike Pence for not committing sedition against the United States of America and not stopping a constitutional act that's required by the United States Constitution, the definition of sedition. This guy keeps looking -- I'll use the word, I'll use it comfortably because I'm in the right here -- he keeps looking more deplorable by the day."
"If somebody tries to overthrow the United States government, tries to undermine a rightful, free presidential election, you can call him deplorable," Scarborough added.
