Vice President Kamala Harris reportedly snubbed her incoming Republican counterpart in the days ahead of President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration.
Following her defeat in November in what was a contentious campaign, Harris has not invited Vice President-elect J.D. Vance for a formal sit-down or tour of the Naval Observatory residence, where Vance and his family will live come Jan. 20, Democratic and Republican sources told CBS News.

Additionally, Usha Vance had staffers reach out to Harris' staffers requesting information on how to childproof the mansion, as the Vance children are all under age 8.
Those requests were initially rebuffed by a Harris political appointee, according to the report, though Navy aides who oversee the home have since communicated, and arrangements are being made to accommodate the children.
The reported snub comes after sources close to Harris said she, too, didn't receive a rosy welcome when Trump refused to acknowledge he lost in 2020. However, advisers to former Vice President Mike Pence told the outlet he quietly extended an invite.
