Kandiss Taylor, a failed candidate for Georgia governor, announced that she was running to represent the state's First District in the U.S. Congress. She said she hoped to also win the "endorsement" of Jesus Christ despite losing her bid for governor by 70 points.

Taylor, host of the "Guns, Babies & Jesus" podcast, made the announcement during a Tuesday appearance on Steve Bannon's War Room.

"I've been asked at least a thousand times, no joke, for the past four years to please run for Congress," Taylor told Bannon.

"I would say that you're kind of the personification of a big part of the MAGA movement," Bannon noted. "Democrats are going to look at you, if you win the primary, as an easy pick-off target."

"We're going to win, Steve," Taylor insisted. "And I don't think they're ready for the big donors that's already called and committed."

"And I have Democrats that are going to support me because they know that I represent Jesus," she added.

Taylor said she hoped to have Gov. Brian Kemp's (R) support but could win without it.

"But the person I care about having [an] endorsement from are the people of the first district, Jesus Christ and President Trump," she opined.

Georgia's First District is represented by Rep. Buddy Carter (R), but he has suggested that he could challenge Sen. Jon Ossoff (D).

Carter recently made news by introducing legislation to rename Greenland to Red, White, and Blueland.

Taylor also made news on her podcast by suggesting Hurricane Helene was made up to prevent Mark Robinson (R) from becoming governor of North Carolina.
