Failed Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake is falling way behind her opponent for a Senate seat when it comes to fundraising, according to a report.
In recent financial filings, Lake said she raised $2.1 million in the fourth quarter of 2023 in an effort to become the Republican nominee for the seat.
Her Democratic opponent Ruben Gallego, however, raised around $3.3 million during the same period, Newsweek reported.
Gallego's campaign for the Arizona seat received money from "hundreds of thousands" of donors, his campaign said.

"Our campaign has built the infrastructure to take on whatever comes our way in 2024 thanks to the support of hundreds of thousands of small-dollar donors who chipped in what they could to elect Ruben Gallego," campaign spokesperson Nichole Johnson said.
Lake ran unsuccessfully to become governor in 2022, but refused to concede her defeat. Her attempt to prove the election was stolen from her has been rejected several times by courts.
