Arizona Republican Senate candidate Kari Lake on Thursday predicted Donald Trump would choose "anybody" except for Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley as his running mate.

During an interview, right-wing podcast host Charlie Kirk asked Lake if she would accept a spot on Trump's presidential ticket.

Lake did not reject the idea.

"We have so many incredible people in our movement, Charlie, I've even heard your name mentioned," Lake said. "We have so many incredible people in our movement that President Trump has a large pool of great contenders to choose from."

"He'll pick somebody great," she insisted. "Whoever he picks, I'm going to get behind and support."

"Would you be sad if he picked Nikki Haley?" Kirk wondered.

"I don't think he will," Lake replied. "I really don't."

Lake said Haley had "gone over to the dark side."

"She's part of the warmonger movement," the GOP candidate argued. "The Republican Party, you know, I've got a big alert to tell everybody, is no longer the party of the warmonger."

"I think he would pick anybody over her because I think that she has gone that far over to the dark side," she added. "So no, I don't think he'll pick her. But I don't know. We'll have to ask President Trump."

While Trump has not ruled out Haley as vice president, Donald Trump Jr. insisted his dad would not pick the former South Carolina governor.
