White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre made quick work of Fox News' Peter Doocy when he asked her a question about providing more funding for the Border Patrol.
During a press briefing on Monday, Doocy asked about recent ads released by Harris touting her support for more Border Patrol funding, and he questioned why she wasn't doing something right now to get them what they need.
"She's now promising to hire thousands more border agents than there are now under President Biden," Doocy pointed out. "How long have you known that Vice President Harris does not think the president is effective in his border policy?"
"You're making a huge jump," Jean-Pierre replied. "She did not say this. This is something you are assuming."

Doocy, however, continued to press the issue.
"If President Biden is doing such a good job, why do they need more agents?" he asked.
"The president does want more Border Patrol agents," Jean-Pierre shot back, referring to his endorsement of a bipartisan immigration deal from earlier this year that would have significantly beefed up funding for the Border Patrol. "You know who's getting in the way? Republicans in Congress, they're getting in the way. You know who else is getting in the way? The former president, Donald Trump. He's getting in the way. I mean, there's no daylight here."
