Reacting to Gov. Kristi Noem appearing on CBS Sunday morning where she doubled down and defended shooting her puppy Cricket in a gravel pit decades ago, the entire panel on "Alex Witt Reports" got in their own shots at the embattled South Dakota Republican.
With former Rep. Dave Jolly (R-FL) explaining that Noem is "desperate" for the VP nod from Donald Trump because she is term-limited and has no political future unless the former president adds her to the ticket, Democratic strategist Don Calloway launched into a hilarious monologue describing Noem's dire circumstances.
After Jolly finished, Calloway admitted, "I think our Sunday family would be surprised to learn I'm not a learned- scholar in the political history of Kristi Noem. When I see what she's been dealing with, I'm reminded of an age-old African American proverb: 'You know you done messed up, don't you?' Because if you're explaining — you're losing."

As the panel burst into laughter he continued, "I look at her and, you have to remember that David made an important point, there are certain governors who fall on a schedule who are not necessarily rolling into another job and they are not electorally viable. She's not from a state that is not extremely high profile and she doesn't have a big future or something she can walk into next for her, so it's a woman without a political country scrambling to save face."
"If she's term-limited, she goes into another four-year term of Trump; would is she to do after that?" he suggested. "This is a woman who has tied her train to an unrighteous administration who really doesn't have a future. There's no boards, there's no extraordinary university presidencies awaiting this woman — particularly not after she done shot her dog. White folks care about dogs and yoga and it looks like she has violated 50 percent of that."
