Lauren Boebert threatens 'politically-motivated indictments' if the GOP reclaims the House

Approximately 24 hours after the Department of Justice indicted former Donald Trump adviser Steve Bannon on charges of criminal contempt of Congress, freshman Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) called the charges "politically-motivated" and warned Democrats can expect to be on the receiving end of charges should the GOP reclaim the House.

With Republicans expected to become the majority after the 2022 midterm election, the GOP would take over the chairmanships of the committees which could launch their own investigations into the Biden administration and more.

With that in mind, the controversial Colorado Republican taunted the Democrats on Twitter.

"Now that Democrats have started these politically-motivated indictments for Contempt of Congress, I look forward to seeing their reactions when we keep that same energy as we take back the House next year!'" she wrote.

It should be noted that fellow far-rightwing GOP lawmaker Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) is the ranking member on the House Judiciary Committee and would be in line for the chairmanship.
