GOP chaos caused by Freedom Caucus' 'impossible purity': Conservative

A major conservative magazine chief links chaos in the House of Representatives to the far-right Freedom Caucus setting a standard of “impossible purity,” he said in a New York Times opinion piece.

“National Review” editor-in-chief Rich Lowry argued Tuesday that House Republicans have been unable to live up to the standards set by a conservative group whose members include Trump's former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows (a co-defendant in the racketeering case against Donald Trump), Lauren Boebert and Marjorie Taylor Greene.

'Warning sign': Financial reports show Lauren Boebert is in trouble in next election

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) is officially on notice that her next election won't necessarily be an easy one, with strong challengers on both sides of the aisle.

Boebert, who recently shouted that Republicans who didn't vote for Jim Jordan — and not those who ousted Kevin McCarthy from the speakership role in the first place — are responsible for the fact that "Congress isn't working right now," barely held onto her seat in the last election cycle.

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) reportedly shouted that Republicans who didn't vote for Jim Jordan -- and not those who ousted Kevin McCarthy from the speakership role in the first place -- are responsible for the fact that "Congress isn't working right now."

‘I will not sit back and watch’: Boebert threatens to derail GOP ‘plan’ for speaker

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) lashed out at House Republicans on Thursday after Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) indicated that he would not run for speaker and would instead back Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-NC) to fill the position temporarily.

"I will not sit back and watch a complete betrayal of the GOP base with this 'plan' that's being discussed," Boebert wrote in a social media post. "I ran because I was sick and tired of politicians coming up here and cutting deals and releasing 'holier than thou' statements about why we just had to accept it."

WASHINGTON – The House isn’t just speaker-less, it also appears to be rudderless.

'Dumpster fire time': Conservative has little hope after Jim Jordan nomination

Despite the fact that the House GOP caucus has settled on Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) as their second choice to become House speaker, after a brief flirtation with Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) fell apart, one conservative claims he sees no end to the madness that has mired the party in infighting and chaos.

In his column for the Daily Beast, Matt Lewis succinctly summed up the ouster of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) with no real plan for his replacement as a complete embarrassment to the party he belongs to.

'Performative nonsense': Republican Nancy Mace ridiculed for Scarlet Letter stunt

Republicans who sided with Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) in the effort to oust him as speaker are angry with Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) for joining the group of Republican hardliners who opposed him. Perhaps that's why she decided to wear a big red "A" on her shirt on Tuesday.

Whatever her reason, the reactions to her shirt were quick from those who said Mace was seeking attention and failing to serve as a uniter.
