A current ally of Donald Trump is lobbing allegations at a prominent conservative commentator, leading to the CIA being notified.
Candace Owens, a fringe conservative and active podcaster who formerly worked as a communications director for Charlie Kirk's Turning Point USA, has since Kirk's death spread various conspiracy theories about the Utah killing.
Enter Laura Loomer, a purported "Trump whisperer" who has the presidents ear when it comes to hiring choices.
According to Loomer, Owens is trying to "grift" her way through Kirk's death, and in the process has broken the law with her merch.
"As part of her grift to monetize the murder or her 'best friend Charlie Kirk', Candace Owens is selling a 'CIA line' of merchandise called the 'Candace Intelligence Agency' which rips off the CIA name and LOGO. It is a FEDERAL FELONY to use the CIA @CIA seal without license," Loomer alleged as she tagged the CIA's X account and cited 50 U.S. Code § 3513 - Misuse of Agency name, initials, or seal.
Loomer then added, "You are likely breaking the law with your CIA merch, Candace."
"The CIA can technically sue to get Candace to stop using their logo. It’s really disrespectful to Charlie Kirk and the CIA," she then added.
Owens replied, "This tweet is fantastic content for the show next week. Do you think I should go to prison? If so, for how long? Have you considered tagging Pam Bondi? Please respond."
Loomer then said, "I think you should find a new grift. That’s what I think."
