Marjorie Taylor Greene on Tuesday hurled incendiary allegations against the nation’s top law enforcement agency, and the far-right congresswoman from Georgia wants to monetize her claim.
Greene (R-Ga.) in a tweet alleged that the FBI is acting as the “personal gestapo” for President Joe Biden and Attorney General Merrick Garland in a conspiracy to thwart investigations of Biden, who she has accused without evidence of being at the center of a pay-to-play scheme while vice president.
Greene's tweet implicates FBI Director Christopher Wray, who she alleges is playing a key role in the cover-up. Wray was appointed by former President Donald Trump.
The tweet includes a link to a website offering merchandise with “Defund the FBI” and campaign messaging in support of Greene.
"FBI Director Wray is refusing to turn over a document subpoenaed by Oversight Chairman James Comer that a whistleblower identified that directly implicates Joe Biden in a foreign pay-to-play scheme when he was Vice President," Greene tweeted.
"The FBI is now the personal gestapo for Joe Biden and Merrick Garland to cover up the crimes of the Biden Family while persecuting anyone who would dare support President Trump.
"We must DEFUND THE FBI!"
