One of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's (R-GA) fellow Republican lawmakers does not think very much of her legislative acumen.
In an interview with Washington Examiner congressional reporter Reese Gorman, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) was asked about Greene potentially bringing up a privileged resolution to force a vote on the impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
" Marjorie Taylor Greene is a hard working member of Congress, but I believe she lacks the maturity and the experience to understand what she was asking for," Issa replied.
Issa's comments came after Greene's attempts to impeach Mayorkas crashed and burned on Monday night, which left the conspiracy theory-spouting Georgia Republican fuming after several of her GOP colleagues voted to send her resolution back to committee.
“I cannot believe this, I’m outraged,” Greene complained after Issa and seven other Republicans shot her efforts down. "I can assure you that Republican voters will be extremely angry that they’ve done this.”
Greene has been feuding more frequently with members of her own party, and has even reportedly gone so far as to label fellow MAGA lawmaker Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) as a "whore."
Greene has long been a controversial figure who has endorsed conspiracy theories ranging from the United States government orchestrating mass shootings to the Rothschild family funding space lasers to start wildfires in California.
