Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) rejected Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's (R-GA) views after she lashed out at Republicans "slobbering" over war with Iran.
During a Tuesday interview on Fox News, host John Roberts noted that Greene had come out against joining the war against Iran.
"Marjorie Taylor Green says, anyone's slobbering for the U.S. to become fully involved in the Israel-Iran war is not America First or MAGA," the Fox News host noted. "Wishing for murder of innocent people is disgusting. We are sick and tired of foreign wars."
"Yeah, I mean, I like Marjorie, but I'd be honest with it, she doesn't understand the threat in my view," Graham fired back. "If you don't understand that Iran, a religious theocracy, religious Nazis would use a nuclear weapon to kill all the Jews, you don't listen to what they say, they're a threat to us."
"Somebody's got to deal with it," the senator insisted. "Donald Trump is the right man to deal with it."
Graham also praised Trump over the possibility of joining the war.
"He's about to go to another level of history-making," Graham gushed. "Four presidents have promised to make sure Iran doesn't have a nuclear weapon. It will be Donald J. Trump who delivers on that promise very soon. Well done, Mr. President."
Graham encouraged Trump not to "overthink" the war.
"So we live in a world where we have to defend ourselves," he remarked. "I don't think [the war is] going to be 20 months, but here's what I do believe. If we don't get it right now, we're going to pay later."
"But, sir, can you guarantee that?" Fox News co-host Gillian Turner asked. "Can you make the commitment that this would not lead to a longer war?"
"I can't," Graham admitted.
