Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) on Monday lashed out at Democrats for holding an impeachment trial, which she suggested was "more addictive than meth."

In a series of tweets, Greene insisted that former President Donald Trump's impeachment trial is an effort to distract from President Joe Biden's executive orders.

"Impeachment is just another act in the circus show and a dramatic distraction from the disastrous policies being signed in place with Biden's never ending EO's," Greene wrote. "The media, which is the mouthpiece of the Democrat party, loves the circus and plays it's antics on loop 24-7... in order to keep their viewers addicted to the hate that they sell every single day."

According to the Republican lawmaker, hate "is what the media feeds you."

"More addictive than meth," she added.

Responses to the tweet accused Greene of "pure projection."
