Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) Monday pushed for a peace treaty with Russia as Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky pleaded with D.C. lawmakers for financial help fighting his nation's invaders.

"With Zelenskyy in town and Ukraine money running dry, why doesn’t anyone in Washington talk about a peace treaty with Russia," Greene wrote in a tweet on X. "A deal with [Vladimir] Putin promising he will not continue any further invasions."

She then answered her own hypothetical question: "Washington wants war, not peace. Isn’t that awful?! I’m still a NO."

Zelensky is stateside to win over purse-strapping lawmakers (especially GOP members) to keep arms and the financial faucet on in its battle against Russia — who invaded their country nearly two years ago and launched a protracted war.

President Joe Biden wants Congress to secure $61.4 billion for Ukraine in a $110 billion package that also includes cash for national security priorities that include Israel, the Associated Press reports.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin argues supporting the war is critical to ensuring the security of the U.S. and ally nations, according to the report.

“America’s commitments must be honored" said Austin. "America’s security must be defended."

The landing of Zelensky had Speaker Mike Johnson, who has been aiming to tie all support for Ukraine to border security — secured some face time on Tuesday.

In an earlier tweet, Greene boasted about having been against sending any support to Ukraine.

"I’ve never voted to send any money to fund Washington’s proxy war with Russia in Ukraine and I will NOT vote for it no matter what they tie to it in order to trick members of Congress for yes votes."

"Our border security should come FIRST and unattached to foreign wars."
