Marjorie Taylor Greene questions whether the US is behind 'coup attempt' in Russia

Hours after a Fox News host tossed out an evidence-free conspiracy theory that perhaps the U.S., NATO, or both were behind the apparent coup unfolding in Russia, Marjorie Taylor Greene jumped on the bandwagon.

Greene, who lavished right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones with praise last month, introduced the notion that the United States was behind the rebellion in Russia without directly claiming it's true.

The House Republicans' 'downward spiral' accelerated this week: Jen Psaki

According to former White House press secretary and current MSNBC host Jen Psaki, House Republicans endured one of their most embarrassing weeks since taking power after the 2022 midterms.

With House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan (R-OH) holding a hearing with special counsel John Durham that shed more light on his investigative deficiencies than it did on exposing the FBI, and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) publicly getting in the face of Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) over who was first to propose impeaching President Joe Biden, Psaki pointed out that House Republicans are not doing themselves any favors with the 2024 election looming.

'Nuisance' Elise Stefanik shredded for 'clumsy performance art' bid to exonerate Trump of impeachments

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), a key architect of a symbolic resolution to "expunge" the two impeachments of former President Donald Trump, was ripped to shreds by columnist Charles P. Pierce for Esquire on Friday.

"Stefanik is a nuisance on her way to becoming a general blight, but this move is further evidence that a substantial portion of the Republican caucus in the House has fashioned itself into a mechanism to launder the former president's crimes in advance of his 2024 presidential campaign, and that this effort has many elements," wrote Pierce.

Boebert's race to 'squeeze some money out of the suckers' could backfire with voters tired of the 'crazy': analyst

According to MSNBC analyst Bryan Tyler Cohen, Rep. Lauren Boebert's drive to launch impeachment hearings aimed at President Joe Biden is designed solely as a public relations stunt that she will use for fundraising -- but it could blow up in her face.

Noting her headline-making squabble on the House floor with fellow MAGA Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), Cohen wrote that the two battling over who has the inside track of leading the Biden impeachment charge exposed them for who they are and what their motives are.

'Sure you're not in middle school?' Jen Psaki ridicules Lauren Boebert's House floor antics

Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki took a few jabs at Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" on Friday over her House floor antics that led to a confrontation with fellow MAGA Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).

Discussing the altercation between the two where Greene called Boebert a "little b--ch," over a dispute over proposing impeachment proceedings against President Joe Biden, MSNBC host Jonathan Lemire called what is going on within the GOP House caucus a "clown show."

That led co-host Joe Scarborough to add, "Jen Psaki, again, the chaos continues in the House. I can't help but think, at the end of the day, all this is going to do is damage the House candidates and turn the House back over to Democrats. "

"Well, exactly," the smiling Psaki replied. "I mean, in some ways, the White House and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee don't have to do much aside from get out of the way."

"As Jonathan just referenced, their entire message is competence versus chaos. As we just heard, kind of the outline from John Heilemann about the back-and-forth fight between Lauren Boebert and Marjorie Taylor Greene, I mean, Lauren Boebert responded and said, 'I'm not in middle school.' It's like, are you sure you're not in middle school? That's how middle schoolers act, you know?" she laughed.

"If you're the American public sitting at home, you're thinking, 'what a waste of time, what a waste of my time that they are doing there," she added. "That is exactly the contrast that the White House, if you're sitting in the White House right now, my old colleagues there, if you're sitting in the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and you're working with Democratic candidates, you're going to run on, 'We'll do something. We will fight for you the public. That is chaotic and crazy there, and we will not be that.'"

'This is too stupid': Elise Stefanik's plan to 'rewrite' Trump's history burned by Morning Joe

A resolution filed on Thursday by Reps. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) to expunge Donald Trump's historic two impeachments from the Congressional Record was thoroughly demolished on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" early Friday morning, with co-host Joe Scarborough dismissing the topic as "too stupid" to even be considered.

According to a press release from Stefanik's office, the result would be "as if such Articles of Impeachment had never passed the full House of Representatives."

Despite the fact that Stefanik is the chair of the House Republican Conference, it is uncertain whether the rest of the GOP caucus -- particularly lawmakers facing re-election in swing districts -- would agree to go along with what is at best a symbolic act.

Taking up the topic on Friday's "Morning Joe," Scarborough pounced on the efforts by the two MAGA lawmakers as nothing more than a "gesture" designed for personal fundraising for the two.

In a lively back-and-forth with co-host Mika Brzezinski, Scarborough began, "The reason Donald Trump won't win a general election is he's always talking about the past, not the future. That is what has defined him the past several years. Now, you have the House, again, just in absolute chaos. now, what are they doing? Looking back. They're trying to do something they can't do, which is --- an un-impeachment process?"

"Elise Stefanik and Marjorie Taylor Greene introduced a pair of resolutions seeking to expunge the impeachment votes against former president Donald Trump. Stefanik's office said in a press release that it would be, quote, 'as if such articles of impeachment had never passed the full House of Representatives," his co-host reported.

"Gesture, gesture, all they do are gestures," Scarborough interjected.

"It's totally unclear if resolutions are even legally possible, House practices offer no guidance," Brzezinski continued which led Scarborough to interrupt, "I'm sorry, this is too stupid. I don't even want to read this story."

"It's so stupid," Brzezinski agreed before focusing on Stefanik and remarking, "What has happened to this woman? We already know about Marjorie Taylor Greene, she came baked into the cake -- but what the heck?"

"Just shameless, but that's okay, that's okay. This is so stupid," Scarborough replied.

GOP hardliners push to purge Marjorie Taylor Greene from House Freedom Caucus: report

Republican hardliners in the House Freedom Caucus reportedly don't think Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is enough of a right-wing ideologue for their standards.
