Three Republican lawmakers in South Florida broke ranks with their political party over the recent controversies surrounding Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), slamming its inability to denounce her dangerous rhetoric and actions.

According to Sun-Sentinel, U.S. Reps. Mario Diaz-Balart, Carlos Gimenez, and Maria Salazar were three out of 11 House Republicans who voted to strip Greene of her duties on multiple House committees. Now, they are explaining why they made that decision.

On CNN Saturday, anchor Michael Smerconish said the results of the vote to strip Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) of her committee assignments for her endorsement of QAnon and killing Democrats, proves that Republicans have decided they can't do without the votes of the people who violently stormed the U.S. Capitol in January.

"Now, with more free time on her hands, Greene said that she will boost conservative candidates and former President Donald Trump's plans to oust so-called weak Republicans," said Smerconish. "If she's right, we could see more Greenes and fewer Cheneys."

HBO "Real Time" host Bill Maher blasted QAnon and Christianity on his Friday evening show.

"New rule, as long as we're going to go through the trouble of another impeachment trial, we might as well be honest about what it's really about. The events of January 6th were a faith-based initiative," Maher said. "And Trumpism is a Christian nationalist movement that believes Trump was literally sent from heaven to save them."

The host of "Real Time" on HBO had a live studio audience on Friday evening.

During his opening monologue, Maher noted that cases of coronavirus are dropping in America.

Two weeks into Joe Biden's presidency, Republicans are lamenting the fact that Democrats now control the White House and both branches of Congress — and the latest Pollapalooza released by FiveThirtyEight won't give them any reason for optimism. Pollapalooza, a weekly polling roundup, finds that eight well-known Republicans in Congress have poor favorability ratings.

FiveThirtyEight came up with a polling average for the eight Republicans by combining the results of new Morning Consult/Politico, YouGov/The Economist and SurveyMonkey/Axios polls. And the Republicans are broken down into three groups: "controversial freshmen" (Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado and Rep. Madison Cawthorn of North Carolina), "better-known Trump allies" (Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri, Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy) and "Republicans who have broken with Trump" (Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming).

The Wall Street Journal Editorial Board says U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's endorsement of assassinating the Speaker of the House, a former U.S. President, and two former U.S. Secretaries of State is merely "nutty," and "cuckoo rhetoric."

"On Thursday, under pressure from all sides, Ms. Greene disavowed her past cuckoo rhetoric," the WSJ editorial says.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) on Friday came out with a full-throated defense of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), who was expelled from her committee assignments this week and then openly taunted her political foes afterward.

Writing on Twitter, Graham blamed liberals for not being more kind to Greene, who in the past has expressed support for a litany of conspiracy theories, including the QAnon theory that claims Democrats are a cabal of Satanist pedophiles; a theory about the Rothschild family helping former California Gov. Jerry Brown build a space laser to burn down forests; a claim about members of the 2016 Clinton campaign sacrificing chickens to the pagan deity Moloch; and theories about multiple school shootings being "false flag" operations.

U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) delivered a speech on the floor of the House Thursday afternoon, for the first time attempting to appear to reject some – though not all – of the vile and offensive remarks she has made in recent years, but it was not enough to convince the majority of members of the House, who voted to strip her of all her committee assignments.

Her speech was widely and immediately panned by experts and journalists.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) defended her harassment of a Parkland massacre survivor but refused to answer questions about her apparent support for the execution of House Speaker Nancy Pelsoi (D-CA).

The newly elected Georgia Republican held a nearly 25-minute news conference Friday morning, after the Democratic majority voted to remove her from committee assignments over her past actions and statements, and she was unapologetic about following Florida teen David Hogg and reminding the school shooting survivor that she was carrying a gun -- which he perceived as a threat.

According to MSNBC political analyst John Heilemann, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) -- along with the Republican House caucus -- have handed the Democrats the gift that keeps on giving by not severely disciplining or ousting Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).

As Heilemann told "Morning Joe" host Joe Scarborough, Democratic consultants will be using video clips of the controversial congresswoman spouting our outrageous conspiracy theories in campaigns all across the country.

"It's mind-blowing, guys, but that is where we are," Heilemann explained. "You know, Kevin McCarthy says nothing to see here, let's move on. The political analysis today is more than it was yesterday when we talked about it."

"Republicans have handed Democrats the ability now to call Republicans the party of QAnon," he continued. "190 plus of them voted to support her yesterday -- that's the takeaway. They're with her, they're with Marjorie Taylor Greene. Democrats will make that point over and over and over again and hang this vote around the necks of those Republican members of the House for the course of the next two years. It is an enormous political gift to [House Majority Leader] Nancy Pelosi, and Kevin McCarthy's leadership here is utterly just exposed for its utter bankruptcy these last three days."
