Ghislaine Maxwell, co-conspirator to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, decided to invoke her 5th Amendment rights and refused to answer any questions Monday as the Department of Justice released a new video revealing her life behind bars.

Rep. James Comer (R-KY), chair of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, said that Maxwell declined to answer lawmakers' questions when she came before the committee Monday, and has asked for clemency from President Donald Trump. Her attorney said in his opening statement that neither Trump nor former President Bill Clinton were blameless in Epstein's crimes. Her attorney also told lawmakers that she has a habeas corpus petition pending.

Comer told reporters he did not think Maxwell should be granted any clemency, pointing to comments from Epstein survivors who had called her a "very bad person."

In the new prison video released by the DOJ on Monday and filmed on July 5 2020, Maxwell was seen in an orange jumpsuit exercising in her cell, and eating lunch on her bed with her legs crossed, according to the BBC.

An anonymous online trader placed a “huge” wager Monday on the Trump administration launching a military strike against Iran by the end of the day Monday, a bet so colossal that the payout could reach around $4 million, sparking speculation that the individual might have insider knowledge.

The online trader joined the cryptocurrency-based prediction market platform Polymarket last November, and has since made only two wagers; an unsuccessful $75,000 bet against Trump winning the 2024 election, and a nearly $100,000 bet that the United States would strike Iran by the end of Monday.

“A potential U.S. Gov insider has been spotted. A wallet just placed $100K on the U.S. striking Iran by [end of day] today at 2% odds,” wrote Haeju Jeong, senior software engineer for META and Polymarket trader, in a social media post Monday on X.

“If it hits, the payout is $4M. The wallet was inactive for 460 days and has only participated in one other market ever. Very unusual behavior. Definitely a wallet to watch and see how this plays out”

Trump has increasingly threatened military action against Iran amid its crackdown on protesters, threats he walked back last month but that have continued to be discussed within his administration.

Both wagers on online prediction markets and cryptocurrency purchases have fueled speculation in the past about individuals using insider knowledge of the Trump administration for profit.

For instance, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt abruptly ended a press conference last month just seconds shy of it reaching 65 minutes, a move that unexpectedly earned a select-few prediction market traders who had bet on the 2% odds of the presser lasting under 65 minutes a small fortune.

Another eyebrowsing trade occurred last October when an anonymous trader opened an account and made a lofty bet on the cryptocurrency Bitcoin crashing just 30 minutes ahead of a major tariff announcement from President Donald Trump, a bet that paid off to the tune of $88 million.

“This is the weirdest thing I've seen on Polymarket lately,” said another predictions market trader, X user “Lirrato,” to their more than 4,000 followers in a social media post on X Monday. “I don't know how this ends, but I think I'm going to be watching this all day.”

MAGA pollster Mark Mitchell of Rasmussen Reports warned that President Donald Trump's poll numbers were plunging because of the harsh tactics used by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

"In his inauguration speech, he promised that this was the golden age of America," Mitchell told host Benny Johnson on his podcast Monday. "And the bad news here is that his numbers among the young people are just absolutely atrocious now. And people have freaked out over Donald Trump just in the last week or two in a way that's dangerous."

"He had a 41% approval rating on Friday. That's the lowest in all of our numbers going back to December of 2017," he continued. "This is, in my opinion, people telling Trump, remember why you got in. The system doesn't work, and we need that system attacked."

"If you look at the graph of comparing all the presidential approval ratings, like very visibly, this is a plunge that kind of mirrors Biden's Afghanistan, and Biden turned that around to some extent."

According to Mitchell, Americans are upset because Trump was not keeping his campaign promises.

"It was only like less than 20 percent who said he's done too much of what he's promised," he said. "The ICE stuff, no bueno. It is not good. Bad optics has to get out of the headlines. And I've been saying for weeks, like the way we went about this was wrong, and it created political friction. America is not a monoculture that wants to see everybody brutally deported."

"Americans still want illegal aliens gone by a strong majority, they say that ICE tactics are too harsh, and they're increasingly siding with the anti-ICE protesters and not ICE themselves," he added. "So Donald Trump is underwater 15 points, but holding businesses who hire legal aliens accountable is plus 20."

President Donald Trump lost a "staggering" measure of support on one of his greatest strengths with voters just a year into his second term, according to a new analysis.

The 79-year-old president boasted in a new interview that he's very proud of the economy right now, but CNN's Harry Enten found Americans don't seem to share his rosy assessment — and blame him for the problems they face.

"Staggering," Enten said. "You know, the economy used to be the wind beneath Donald Trump's presidency wings, and now it's his Titanic, because what are we talking about here? Well, let's just take a look here. Trump's economic net approval one year in term one – hey, yeah, plus side of the ledger, plus-eight points. It was his best issue, arguably, but now it's one of his worst. Look at that. Way, way down in the basement, 18 points below water. What is that? A 26-point switcheroo in the wrong direction.

"This is the type of number that Democratic midterm dreams are made of, and Republican nightmares are also made of."

Voters blame the president and his policies for what they believe to be a drooping economy, he said.

"It is because folks believe, the voters believe it's the Trump administration's fault," Enten said. 'Take a look here, okay, the Trump admin has made the economy worse or better. You go back to January of 2018, term number one, the plurality winner there was better at 40 percent, just 22 percent said worse. Look at this side of the screen, the exact opposite story. What a switcheroo, my goodness gracious – 52 percent, 52 percent of Americans say the Trump admin, their policies have made the economy worse, and look at that. Just 28 percent say better. Even among the GOP, just 57 percent say they make it better. When you're only getting 57 percent of the Republican base to agree with the positive position for Donald Trump, you know, you are in some massive trouble, which the Trump administration and Trump in particular are on the economy."

Trump's approval has fallen even worse among independents, Enten said.

"This was a number that absolutely blew my mind," Enten said. "Oh, my goodness gracious. Trump's economic net approval one year in among independents in term one, he was 10 points above water. Look at where he is today. Whoa, 43 points below. That's a 53-point switcheroo. You can't win elections when, on the number one issue, you are 43 points below water among independents. This is just absolutely atrocious."
