Democratic National Committee Chair Jaime Harrison couldn't contain himself on MSNBC early Saturday morning, laughing out loud when asked about the chaos engulfing House Republicans as they try to come up with a budget bill.

Noting that House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is on the precipice of being ousted as the GOP's House leader due to a challenge from Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Harrison admitted he can now sit back and watch Republicans tear each other apart in plain sight.

With MSNBC host Jonathan Capehart prompting, "This might be one of the few times in recorded history that you and some congressional republicans are on the same page. What did you make of what is going on in the House?" Harrison immediately started laughing.

POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?

"They are doing my job for me," he began while noting one House Republican confessed the leadership and his caucus look "weak," are a "clown show," and are "lunatics" and "dysfunctional,."

"I really do believe, Jonathan, and this is not me being partisan because I'm including Democratic speakers of the House and Republican of the House, I believe that history will show that Kevin McCarthy is the most inept speaker of the House in my lifetime."

"I have never seen the dysfunction and I have worked on the floor of the House," he continued. "My job, and I know what I'm talking about, I have never seen anything like it."

"He is weak, and he's feckless," he added. "I think he just wants a portrait in the Speakers Gallery, but I don't think there is a 'Speaker-in-name-only' gallery. You know they are going to give him one, but this guy is pathetic."
