MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell said he would not seek to chair the Republican National Committee after reports said Ronna McDaniel had discussed stepping down.

According to CNN, McDaniel discussed stepping down so Donald Trump could name a replacement before the 2024 general election.

On Wednesday, Lindell told right-wing host Steve Bannon that he would not run for RNC chair a second time after his initial attempt failed.

"Everything that we've been doing, that my teams have been doing for the last three years to secure our elections, having over 200 counties now to paper balance and counting more coming on every day," Lindell opined. "This is what they should have been doing."

"They need to do it now, but they need someone to get on board with securing their platforms," he continued. "And I'll tell you, Steve, the Ronna didn't do it... I'm so glad she's stepping down."

"Mike, would you run again?" Bannon wondered.

"I said no," Lindell replied. "I said I have to keep up this battle that with the Lindellplan.com. Everybody, we do have a great plan to get these elections secure. I'm not leaving that plan. I'm hyper-focused."

Instead, Lindell recommended Delaware Republican Party Chair, Julianne Murray.

"She has fought for the election," he said. "She needs to be the leader of the RNC. And I'm going to push for that."

Lindell said he would also support anyone "that does this stuff to secure these elections that we have to have a secure election."
