MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell continued posting on social media about his defamation trial after U.S. District Court Judge Nina Y. Wang warmed him not to.
Earlier this week, attorneys for former voting machine executive Eric Coomer notified Wang that Lindell had flouted court orders by posting on X and giving television interviews about the trial.
On Wednesday, Wang issued a verbal warning to the pillow executive.
"Wang reminded Lindell not to post to social media, issue public statements or give any further interviews about the trial," Colorado Politics reported.
Lindell told the judge that he would refrain from the conduct.
But during a lunch break in the trial, he again posted about the proceedings on X. He encouraged followers to donate to help fight the defamation lawsuit.
"Your donation helps Mike Lindell and MyPillow — an employee-owned company under relentless legal attack for over 4 years," Lindell wrote. "This battle isn't just about one man or one company. It's about standing up for the right to speak the truth."
He quoted a post from his LindellTV network that recounted the judge's warning from that morning's hearing. The posting also included copies of court documents.
"LindellTV is not subject to this restriction under First Amendment protections, but has been advised to avoid covering live or completed testimony to protect the integrity of proceedings," the post said.
Lindell could face sanctions for ignoring the court's order.
