Trump diehards think Iowa caucus was rigged — even after his massive victory

If you thought that supporters of former President Donald Trump would lay off election conspiracy theories after his big win in the Iowa caucus, think again.

Vice News reports that MAGA diehards on Tuesday morning were still cooking up voter fraud schemes even after their candidate beat the nearest competitor by 30 points.

Among those peddling claims about an anti-Trump plot in Iowa were far-right activist Laura Loomer, who claimed that "Democrat shenanigans" were responsible for Nikki Haley winning her sole county in Iowa by a mere single vote.

Seth Keshel, a Trump-loving retired U.S. army captain, went so far as to demand an audit of Johnson County, despite the fact that flipping the outcome to Trump would have absolutely no bearing on his chances of winning the 2024 Republican nomination.

Vice also notes that the rabidly pro-Trump message board "The Donald" was awash in conspiracy theories about the "deep state" giving Haley the single additional vote she needed to overtake Trump in one county, despite the fact that doing so would not have done a single thing to alter the outcome of the race.

"As has been the case since the first false claims of a stolen election emerged in the wake of Trump’s loss in 2020, none of those claiming wrongdoing on Monday night provided any proof to back up their claims," notes the report. "With a long primary season now underway, those peddling lies about election integrity are just getting started."
