'Too many lies': Nikki Haley finally comes out swinging against Trump

GOP presidential hopeful Nikki Haley has finally started to sharpen her attacks on former President Donald Trump.

Although Haley earlier this week declined to take a shot at Trump because he'd been found liable by a jury for sexually abusing and defaming E. Jean Carroll, the former South Carolina governor came out swinging against him after he lobbed an attack on her on Friday.

Haley, whom Trump has labeled "bird brain" despite the fact that he chose her to be his ambassador to the United Nations, took particular exception to Trump's claims that she was weak on China and that she was relying on Democrats crossing over and voting for her in next week's New Hampshire primary.

"Another reason we need to move on from Trump: too many lies," Haley wrote on Twitter. "Democrats can't vote in the NH primary. They haven't been able to change their registration for months. I was tougher on China and Russia than Trump ever was. He praised Xi a dozen times after China gave the world COVID."

Haley then challenged Trump to actually appear with her in public and have a debate about their respective records.

"I did more to protect South Carolinians than he did to protect Americans," she argued. "But we all know that's why he won't debate me. Have a great day!"
