Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) said the South Carolina man who she cursed at in a Ulta Beauty store makeup aisle over the weekend made her feel “threatened and harassed” after he inquired about whether she would be holding more town halls this year.

Mace recapped the events that have since gone viral and show her lashing out as she repeatedly hounds the man, identified as Ely Murray-Quick. He later took to Facebook to tell his followers that he asked Mace “a simple question – 'When are your next few town halls?,'" according to a report in The Independent.

But Mace has a different version of events.

“This guy approached me and I will tell you I felt threatened and harassed,” she told Fox News’ Sean Hannity on Monday. “And I will tell you, as someone who's experienced trauma in her life, and a lot of women will understand what I'm talking about, when some guy gets in your face and approaches you in an aggressive manner that he did and you feel like you are in danger, instinctively as women who have been through trauma, who have survived sexual assault, survived domestic abuse, you have two options. You can fight or you can flee.”

The MAGA lawmaker added: “And I'm a fighter. And I've never backed down from a fight, and I will stand my ground.”

But Mace wasn't done lobbing insults at the man who publicly questioned her.

"The same media that ignored death threats against me is now weeping over a guy in daisy dukes who didn’t like what I had to say," Mace wrote in an X post in an apparent reference to the Saturday incident. "Cope harder."

Earlier in the month, Mace lost her composure at a group of her constituents who she scolded for flooding her office with calls after she declined to participate in town hall events in her district.
