As one of her first official acts since being appointed the interim U.S. attorney for Washington, D.C., former Fox News personality signed off on bringing an additional charge against the man accused of absconding with DHS Secretary Kiristi Noem's purse.

The new charge is over a $15.40 purchase with one of Noem's credit cards.

According to a post on X from Politico's Kyle Cheney, Pirro's new career as a federal crimefighter kicked off with a superseding indictment against Mario Bustamante Leiva who lifted Noem's purse while she dined at Capital Burger, a restaurant in D.C., under the watchful eye of the Secret Service.

Before Pirro took over for former interim U.S. Attorney Ed Martin, whose nomination was pulled, Bustamante Leiva and partner Cristiane Montecino-Sananza were accused of multiple criminal counts, with the latest being number nine.

According to the new filing, the two men are facing a new charge stemming from the misuse of the Trump cabinet member's American Express card in the amount of $15.40 at Angolo Ristorante Italiano in D.C.

This comes after the two were accused of using the card to buy a bottle of wine for $12.12 and a gift card in the amount of $400 three days earlier.
