A conservative commentator and ex-Fox News host lashed out at Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AL) in an angry insult-laced rant on Wednesday revolving around her potential opposition to Pete Hegseth’s controversial nomination.
Dan Bongino, a Trump loyalist and host of the Bongino Report podcast, made the comments on his show where he dug into Murkowski and Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) – two key Republican votes that could break Hegseth’s confirmation chances after President-elect Donald Trump tapped him to lead the Defense Department.
“Murkowski is the biggest scrub in the Senate, an absolute life loser with not a shred of human dignity,” Bongino said. “She is the only politician in the country where seriously, there’s a part of me that says, you know what I’d almost rather lose that seat to a Democrat if chairmanships weren’t involved, that way we could get rid of the Democrat in six years because we’re stuck with this loser for life.”

He added: “She’s never going to go away, she has no set of ethics at all.”
Bongino went a little easier on Collins, however, but still told his listeners, “Don’t even worry about Collins, you’re not going to get any better, I’m really sorry.”
He then shifted his attention to plead with Hegseth, also a former Fox News host, to remain as Trump’s pick.
“Please do not withdraw your name,” he said. “Please. If you go down with this I want everyone on the record. Ladies and gentlemen, we’re in charge now.”
He likened the prospect of Hegseth’s nomination blowing up to controversies involving other conservatives.
“We lose this, they’re going to have ‘Mike Flynned’ him and ‘Kavanaughed’ him and the swamp is going to know they’re back in charge,” Bongino said. “And we’re going to be fighting every freaking foreign war with a woke military cutting troops' n--s off on your taxpayer dime while a guy with a root canal can’t go out to the field and fight.”
