Fox News' Steve Doocy told viewers a startling claim this week, The Daily Beast reported — mystery giant drones are snooping on his home.
“They’re low, they’re about 100 yards, flying over my backyard,” Doocy told the panel on "Fox & Friends" Tuesday morning. He added in a later segment, “They are buzzing overhead all the time. The scary part is when they stop. They just kind of hover for a little while.”
The incidents, which have been reported across north New Jersey when Doocy lives, have been occurring since November and involve flying unmanned vehicles that, according to residents, are the size of cars.
They have triggered interest from local and federal law enforcement.
New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy has said, “This is something we’re taking deadly seriously. I don’t blame people for being frustrated.”

Drone technology, which was once largely seen as the domain of military engagements, has become far more advanced and accessible to the public in recent years. Larger drones have to be registered with the Federal Aviation Administration and treated as aircraft under certain regulatory standards.
The emergence of the technology has led to conflict and incidents, including one famous case in 2015 where a teacher in New York City was arrested for reckless endangerment after flying a drone over the U.S. Open.
