Pro-Palestinian protesters briefly disrupted the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade after gluing themselves to the parade route and forcing marchers and floats to go around them.

The demonstration started about 10 a.m. on Sixth Avenue at West 45th Street, about 90 minutes into the 97th annual parade, when about 30 protesters jumped the barricades and glued themselves to the pavement, reported WABC-TV.

The protesters wore white jumpsuits spattered with fake blood and labeled with words like "colonialism" and "consumerism."

The demonstrators disrupted the parade at the approach of a green dinosaur balloon reportedly sponsored by the Sinclair Oil Corporation.

Some spectators booed the protesters, who were removed by police officers and taken into custody.

Two other disruptions were reported at West 49th Street and West 59th Street.
