CNN viewers on Thursday night witnessed a combative interview as anchor Chris Cuomo struggled to understand why a Republican congressman thinks was patriotic to vote to overturn the 2020 election results and vote to defend controversial Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).
The host interviewed Rep. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK)
"Why would you vote to protect someone who does what she does?" Cuomo asked.
"What she said was before she was a member of Congress. she denounced qanon and she was very open about what happened," Mullin replied.
"You voted to empower somebody who's part of the group that attacked you, brother," Cuomo said.
Mullin denied that the vote was to empower.
Mullin argued that Democrats do the same thing.
"It doesn't make it good, let them get taken of it," Cuomo replied.
"Don't be what you oppose," Cuomo urged. "Don't be the worst of us."
