Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL), considered among the most feverishly pro-Trump lawmakers in Congress, named his own children second to President Donald Trump recently when asked who he considered to be the “coolest person.”

“Who's the coolest person in your phone?” asked a home-school student in a video Fine shared on social media Friday.

“Donald Trump!” Fine exclaimed, eliciting laughter from the students. “There’s a cool person… and both my sons.”

According to the Jewish Press, Fine has two sons – Jacob and David, who were 17 and 13, respectively, as of March of this year – who he lives with along with his wife, Wendy, in their 8,500 square-foot luxury beach home in Melbourne, Florida.

Fine was endorsed by Trump for his 2025 congressional bid, an endorsement he leaned heavily on in his path to victory, and has been described by media outlets as a “MAGA-style culture warrior.” Trump has called Fine an “America-first patriot,” a “successful businessman,” and “an incredible voice for MAGA.”

However, Fine has drawn scrutiny for his controversial statements, including from one of his own Republican House colleagues, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).

In July, Fine said that Palestinian civilians and children should continue to “starve away” until all Israeli hostages had been returned, comments that sparked outrage from Democratic lawmakers, as well as from Greene. His comments came just weeks before the World Health Organization had officially confirmed famine in Gaza, with the reports suggesting nearly 200 Gazans died from hunger and malnutrition as of early August amid Israel’s aid blockade.

“I can only imagine how Florida’s 6th district feels now that their Representative, that they were told to vote for, openly calls for starving innocent people and children,” Greene said.
