Following an online and viral "spat" with Elon Musk, a Democratic House member who has known the billionaire since President Barack Obama was in office is complaining that he can't get Donald Trump's top adviser to return his calls.
In an interview with Politico Rep. Ro Khana (D-CA) stated his entreaties to Musk have been ignored since a squabble broke out over subpoenaing the tech billionaire to appear before a House committee.
Last week, Khana felt the wrath of Democrats after he failed to show up for a vote on a subpoena, stating later that he was unaware of the vote which did not satisfy his critics after the vote failed 19-20.

After he was criticized, he made an appearance on social media where he claimed he was unaware of the vote and stated he would have voted in the affirmative.
That, in turn, led Musk to label the Democratic lawmaker a "d--k" on X.
Speaking with Politico's Dustin Gardiner and Blake Jones, Khana stated he still had hoped to find common ground with the billionaire to “work with Congress” on cuts to the government, but to no avail.
“I assumed that there would be someone, an adult in the room, to enforce the Constitution,” he explained. “But there’s not.”
The report adds, "Khanna’s district includes Tesla’s Fremont factory and the two have known each other since Khanna was a Treasury Department official in the Obama administration (which provided a loan to Tesla during its early days). But despite all that, Khanna still has little to show for extending an olive branch — aside from a sassy spat on Musk’s X platform with the richest man on the planet."
According to Andrew Acosta, a Sacramento-based Democratic consultant, Khana is not the only California Democrat getting the cold shoulder.
“It’s frustrating, California created him. And now look at him,” he stated. “Do you think Elon Musk cares what Ro Khanna thinks?”
