A woman shot and killed another female motorist during an apparent road rage incident in Texas, according to a report.
Police responded to the shooting about 9:40 p.m. Sunday in San Antonio and found a 26-year-old woman on the ground near gas pumps at a Murphy's USA station. Officers said she had been involved in a crash with another vehicle, whose driver followed her to the gas station, reported KSAT-TV.
The suspect told police she had tailed the woman to get her license plate number, but she said the second woman got out of her vehicle and started to assault her.
The 23-year-old suspect said she fired her gun in self-defense while still sitting in her car, and the victim retreated to her vehicle and then laid down on the ground.
The victim suffered a gunshot wound to her chest and was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where she later died.
The shooter was taken into custody and charged with murder.
Neither woman's name was released, and the incident remains under investigation.
