The spokesman for Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. abruptly resigned after just two weeks on the job.
Thomas Corry, who had served in Donald Trump's first administration, had returned to government last week as Kennedy's top spokesman, but he issued a terse statement Monday on his LinkedIn page announcing he was quitting immediately, reported Politico.
“I want to announce to my friends and colleagues that last Friday I announced my resignation effective immediately,” Corry wrote. “To my colleagues at HHS, I wish you the best and great success.”

When he was sworn in two weeks ago as HHS’ assistant secretary for public affairs, Corry wrote that he was “thankful that I’ll be part of the team that is going to work to make America healthy again, and on making healthcare more affordable and accessible.”
Corry had previously served during Trump's first term as senior adviser and communications director at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
He didn't give a reason for his sudden departure, and the HHS did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
