Rudy Giuliani revealed on Wednesday morning that he will make a big announcement at 11 a.m. EST -- and at the same time it appears another one of his Georgia lawyers has removed themselves from his case.
ABC News reported Wednesday morning that "a motion to withdraw has been submitted to the clerk, the sources said. A judge in the case has to sign off on the motion."
Giuliani's other lawyer, David Wolfe, withdrew from representing Giuliani earlier in the process.
POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?
The former "America's Mayor" has faced significant financial problems over the past several years since the 2020 election, where he worked with Trump to try to overturn the election. Giuliani has been so plagued with lawsuits and criminal charges that he's effectively gone bankrupt paying for his legal fees, earlier reports have indicated.
Donald Trump, who has refused to pay for Giuliani's legal fees, hosted a fundraiser to raise money for the lawyers' fees. Giuliani owes millions, however, and millions more will likely be required for his case in Georgia.
Former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen told CNN's Brianna Keilar recently that Trump is making a huge mistake not helping Giuliani.
"Let me be very clear when it comes to paying money, he is truly an idiot," said Cohen of Trump. "He has not learned yet that the last person you want — three people you don't want to throw under the bus like that, your lawyer, your doctor, and your mechanic. Because one way or the other you're going to go down the hill and there will be no brakes. That's the problem."
In the news release for his press event, Giuliani claimed he'll announce something that will "have far-reaching implications for justice and the rule of law."
Giuliani's announcement will be made at Merrimack County Superior Court in New Hampshire.
