A judge has sentenced Sean "Diddy" Combs to 50 months in prison, roughly four years, in the case involving sex workers, violence and “freak-offs.”
U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian on Friday issued the sentence for the former music mogul, calling his behavior “disgusting, shameful,” and “sick," The Associated Press reports. Combs was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of the more serious charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.
The judge also expressed doubt that these crimes would not be committed again if Combs were released. She has denied his bail twice.
Combs apologized to his former girlfriends, Cassie and Jane, during the sentencing hearing. His lawyers have argued the sexual encounters were consensual.
Combs has been behind bars for more than a year since his September 2024 arrest.
His children were in the courtroom on Friday, urging "leniency" for their father. He reportedly cried in court while they spoke.
