The husband of a GOP Senator was trashed Monday after he was seen live on TV refusing to shake the hand of Vice President Kamala Harris.
Bruce Fischer, husband of GOP Sen. Deb Fischer (NE), snubbed Harris after she swore in his wife. She had shaken the senator's hand, and then reached to greet her husband, but the latter refused the gesture.
Harris seemed shocked, removing her hand and smiling awkwardly for a photo.

The snub shocked onlookers.
"They have no home training," posted legal analyst Elie Mystal on X.
Former White House aide Keith Boykin posted on Blue Sky: "Republican Bruce Fischer, the husband of Nebraska Republican Senator Deb Fischer, refused to shake hands (or even make eye contact) with Vice President Kamala Harris during his wife’s swearing-in ceremony.
"This election was never about the economy. It was always about white supremacy."
"What an absolutely pathetic display of fragility and hate. The bare minimum—shaking someone’s hand—is apparently too much for these people. This is cave-dweller behavior, plain and simple. No class, no decency, just pure spite," LimeFunding founder Brian Allen said on X.
"He couldn't make eye contact. Eyes locked, on the Bible -- how ironic. This is degenerate and sinister behavior. Astounding," remarked NYU Business Professor Oghene Oyiborhoro on X.
Former Rep. Joe Walsh (R-IL) observed, "He also refused to look Kamala in the eye. Ugly, mean, cruel, intolerant, & cowardly. Trumpy behavior. Shame on you Bruce Fischer. And MAGA world is applauding him. Pathetic. I’d rather once again applaud @KamalaHarris - all class, grace, warmth, and decency. Thank you @VP."
"The level of class you can expect from MAGA," said MSNBC contributor Brian Tyler Cohen.
