Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) called out his GOP colleagues for misrepresenting Donald Trump's first impeachment.
The remarks came during a House Homeland Security Committee hearing on the possible impeachment of DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
In comparing the two impeachments, Rep. Mark Green (R-TN) suggested the so-called Steele dossier prompted the action against Trump.
"I hear you and many of your colleagues completely misrepresenting what that impeachment was about," Goldman asserted. "That impeachment did not include, rely upon, or have anything to do with the Steele dossier."

Rep. Dan Bishop (R-NC) insisted the Steele dossier — written by a spy and alleging cooperation between Trump and Russia — was used to impeach Trump.
"Go look it up, Mr. Bishop, it did not," Goldman shot back.
"It started with Rudy Giuliani in Ukraine doing Donald Trump's bidding to try to extort the president of Ukraine to open an investigation that would help Donald Trump's political re-election chances," he added.
