MAGA influencer Steve Bannon lashed out at religious figures who spoke at President Donald Trump's inauguration, accusing them of upstaging the 47th president of the United States.
Following the inaugural ceremonies, Bannon voiced his complaints on the pro-MAGA Real America's Voice network. According to the MAGA influencer, the benediction given by Rabbi Ari Berman, Imam Husham Al-Husainy, and Rev. Lorenzo Sewell took more time than Trump's lengthy speech.
Sewell's fiery and inclusive prayer was widely shared on social media.
"The president's speech was longer this time, but he had more to go through in a broader audience, the New Golden Age," Bannon noted. "The benedictions, how long did the benedictions take? 19:19, okay. When benedictions take 19 minutes, that's not acceptable."

"When the Our Father can take 90 seconds, right, or Hail Mary, it didn't have to be a Catholic prayer, give me the best Protestant, bring it, right?" he continued. "Talk about a buzzkill, just ridiculous. The benedictions were ridiculous."
"A powerful prayer is from the heart and short. You're not trying to upstage the president, which, let me be brutally frank, a couple of those guys are trying to upstage the president."
