'That's why Black people like me': Trump says it's 'amazing' that indictments helped him

Donald Trump on Friday celebrated that he's potentially being seen as a victim by some within the Black community, saying it's been "pretty amazing" that "Black people like" him because he's being prosecuted in several criminal cases.

The former president was the keynote speaker of the Black Conservative Federation's Annual BCF Honors Gala in Columbia, South Carolina, on Friday, where he talked at length about the pardons he gave out while in office. Trump also spoke about his impeachments and indictments, once again comparing himself to Al Capone.

While speaking at the event, Trump said, he got indicted "for nothing."...

Trump lawyers should stop citing Nixon to get ex-president out of trouble: legal analyst

Trump lawyers should stop citing Nixon to get ex-president out of trouble: legal analyst

MSNBC legal analyst Lisa Rubin had a suggestion for Donald Trump's lawyers: lay off the Nixon references.

Speaking to Alicia Menendez, Rubin explained that there are some "real doozies" in the Trump filing.

"The most important takeaway is [Trump saying], 'yes, the Supreme Court should weigh in. This is an issue of first impression, just not now,'" she characterized. "All of his reasons why it should be some time, but not now, don't carry a lot of water."...

'Very dirty game': Trump threatens 'repercussions' for Biden if he doesn't nix indictments

'Very dirty game': Trump threatens 'repercussions' for Biden if he doesn't nix indictments

Donald Trump on Tuesday warned the current president of "repercussions" if he doesn't "withdraw" indictments the ex-president faces.

Trump, who is speaking live in Iowa Tuesday evening, said before going on stage that President Joe Biden should be worried about the "two-way street" he's facing.

"So, now we have reached a point when a President of the United States has WEAPONIZED the Department of Justice as though we were a Third World Country. They don’t want to run against me, and never have," Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social. "I am leading in the Polls, by a lot, and based on the results of the failed Biden Administration, this will continue. But 'Justice' Weaponization is a very dirty game to play, and it can have repercussions far greater than anything that Biden or his Thugs could understand."...

Trump will 'catch himself another indictment' if he testifies: Legal analyst

Trump will 'catch himself another indictment' if he testifies: Legal analyst

Former President Donald Trump told conservative commentator Hugh Hewitt this week that he "absolutely" plans to testify in his own defense in the Mar-a-Lago classified documents case. But legal analyst Elie Mystal does not buy it for a second.

For one thing, he argued on CNN, it would get him hit with another charge for perjury.

"Now, if history is any indicator, don't hold your breath for [Trump testifying]," said anchor Abby Phillip. "Like that time that he declined to testify in the E. Jean Carroll case, or the time that he refused to testify in the January 6th hearing, or the time he declined to testify in the investigation of his real estate empire, and the time he refused to testify in the hush money case. Also, there is the time he wouldn't testify at his own impeachment trial, or the time he didn't sit down with Robert Mueller, even though he said that he would."

'This is not OK': Ex-Georgia GOP official slams party for normalizing Trump indictments

'This is not OK': Ex-Georgia GOP official slams party for normalizing Trump indictments

Former Georgia Republican Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan on Thursday called out members of his own party for normalizing the ongoing criminal proceedings against former President Donald Trump.

Duncan during an appearance on CNN’s “News Central” told host Jake Tapper said the notion that treating Trump’s fourth criminal indictment in as many months as a humdrum occurrence is concerning.

Duncan, who testified as a witness before the Fulton County grand jury that indicted Trump earlier this month, was responding to a question from Tapper over “what Trump and his 18 co-defendants are facing” in the Georgia election conspiracy case....

Trump says indictments are 'campaign contributions' to Biden in pre-debate rant

Former President Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform to proclaim the indictments against him are an in-kind campaign contribution to his opponent in an all-caps rant on Wednesday.

"THE INDICTMENTS AGAINST ME SHOULD BE VIEWED AS A CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION TO CROOKED JOE BIDEN AND HIS RADICAL LEFT THUGS," said Trump, who has also claimed the indictments are helping him politically. "THIS WILL BE THEIR UPDATED FORM OF CHEATING & ELECTION INTERFERENCE. REMEMBER, THESE ARE BIDEN INDICTMENTS, PURE & SIMPLE!"

Trump has previously proclaimed that the prosecution effort is "election interference" in previous rants....
