Speaking to reporters after casting his ballot Tuesday, Donald Trump dished out "15 falsehoods in 15 minutes," according to a Washington Post fact checker who noted that while several statements have been debunked before, the former president is "an unrepentant recidivist.”
Among the 15 whoppers spotted by Glenn Kessler, are several that include election lies – including Trump’s “laughable statement” on Election Day in which he said: “If I lose an election, if it’s a fair election, I’d be the first one to acknowledge it.”
“Whenever he’s lost, he suggests it’s because of fraud,” Kessler wrote, adding that his declaration that "we did much better in the second" election in 2020 is yet another "debunked and rejected" claim.

Kessler also shredded Trump’s “dangerous lie” and frequent talking point of being constantly ahead in the polls: “It looks like we have a very substantial lead. It looks like we have many more Republicans voting today than Democrats. So if you have a lead and you have a bigger vote, that means you’re doing very well. But they have to call a winner. They should and they should call a winner."
Of course, as Kessler notes, “Nothing in the polling or the early vote numbers shows that Trump has a 'very substantial lead' – either in the number of Republicans voting or, significantly, whom they are voting for."
He also goes after Trump’s false claim that he did a “great job” on one of the campaign’s key issues – abortion – saying today: “We did a great job in that. We brought it back to the states. As you know, I believe in exceptions, as Ronald Reagan did. And we did a great job. We did something that they wanted to do for 52 years.”
In reality, according to Kessler, Trump “keeps pretending that there was broad support for overturning the right to abortion enshrined in Roe v. Wade,” while public polling shows “consistent disapproval of the Dobbs decision.”
