A pair of liberal analysts chided President Donald Trump's cabinet members on Thursday for continuing to participate in an ongoing series of "humiliation rituals."

Former Obama aides Jon Favreau and Tommy Vietor, who co-host the podcast "Pod Save America," said during a recent episode that Trump's cabinet meetings are no longer a place where elected officials conduct official business. They made their comments after Trump held a cabinet meeting on Thursday morning.

"This used to be a meeting where the leaders of the government got together to like govern us," Vietor said. He said it has turned into a "humiliation ritual."

The analysts discussed Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy's remarks during the meeting, where he alleged that male circumcision can cause autism.

"This is insane," Vietor said. "This is serious stuff. Women who experience pain or have fevers during pregnancy have one option, which is Tylenol. And Trump literally, in this event, tells them to suck it up. He says, 'Tough it out' at one point. And that is crazy for the president of the United States to say."

Favreau also noted that other cabinet members seemed embarrassed to be seen in the same room with Kennedy as he spoke.

" Marco Rubio is just like, 'This is it. This is what my whole life has come to,'" Favreau noted. " This is what I worked for."
