A Trump-supporting activist who has been floated as a potential press secretary if the former president gets another term is picking a fight with the new House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA).
Johnson announced on Friday that he was keeping his "promise to the American people and making all the January 6th tapes available to ALL Americans." That announcement was followed by a link he said would allow everyone to remotely "view the January 6th tapes" for themselves.
"To restore America’s trust and faith in their Government we must have transparency. This is another step towards keeping the promises I made when I was elected to be your Speaker," Johnson said Friday. "This website will be updated continuously with thousands of hours of footage."
Laura Loomer, who earned herself a shoutout from Donald Trump at a recent rally and was mentioned by Donald Trump Jr. as being a potential to serve as his father's interim press secretary, was not satisfied.

"Another lie from [Johnson]," Loomer said on social media on Saturday. "Yesterday Republicans were told that all of the J6 footage was released. There’s 44,000 hours. Yesterday they released under 23 GB of footage, which is only about 100 clips."
Loomer, who also recently attacked Jenna Ellis and Marjorie Taylor Greene, further said she's "hearing it will take a whole month for them to finish uploading all the CCTV footage if they do…. And not to mention, it doesn’t have any sound."
"Also, the video dump won’t include body cam footage from DC Metro police and or Capitol police. The Speaker of the House controls Capitol Police. Mike Johnson needs to release all of the body cam footage WITH AUIDO as well," Loomer pleaded.
She added, "Don’t let the [House GOP] gaslight you. These people are professional liars and con-artists."
