When asked about former President Joe Biden's cancer diagnosis, current President Donald Trump said that his predecessor clearly knew about it years ago because he is at "stage nine."
After citing Biden as "stage nine," Trump attacked his cognition, prompting attacks and ridicule.
There is no "stage nine" in any cancer, including prostate cancer.
Writer and political analyst Wajahat Ali made the same point on X, "There is no stage 9 cancer."
Attorney Joseph Gallina's "Call to Activism" attacked Trump as "cruel and clueless" in his comments.
The Canadian anti-Trump account on X remarked, "Still f---ing stunned this Stage 9 brain-dead dips--t got elected again (allegedly). What a f---ing clown show."
"This is one of the more disgusting videos I’ve seen. Biden just announced his cancer diagnosis and Trump is dabbling in conspiracy theories and bragging about his own medical tests. Oh, and there is no 'stage 9' cancer," remarked influencer Brian Krassenstein.

"THERE IS NO STAGE 9! Trump on Biden's cancer diagnosis: 'I'm surprised that the public wasn't notified a long time ago, because to get to stage 9, that's a long time ...'—but stage 9 doesn’t exist… there is only stages 1-4 (maybe a stage 0 for some)," said Dr. Eric Feigl-Ding, epidemiologist and health economist.
He continued: "2) the only thing that is 9 is the Gleason score, which is how aggressive the prostate cancer cell looks under microscope. But Cancer STAGE is completely different. For those nitpicking, this actually matters a lot for cancer for severity and survival. Imagine how stupid someone who confuses 'A.I.' with 'A1' and thinks they are the same thing."
Cancer survivor Laura Packard, who founded Health Care Voice, replied, "Trump Jr. seems to think there's a stage 5. IDK they don't seem to understand cancer or numbers."
Podcast host Jim Stewartson raged, "This clip is absolute proof that Donald Trump is totally incompetent to be in any position of power. STAGE 9 cancer is not a thing. It’s not even close to a thing. Biden’s Gleason score was 9. Trump has no ability to correctly process and store information, or to recall everyday facts. Trump immediately pivots to himself, babbling about his impressive cognitive ability which he literally just proved he doesn’t have. This is basic dementia."
"As if to increase the cringe factor to the highest possible level, Trump demands APPROVAL for the cognitive ability he proved he doesn’t have and bragged about in response to a question about his predecessor’s CANCER diagnosis," he continued, quoting Trump's comments. "'You proud of me?' Trump realizes he has told this story a lot and decides to up the ante with the risk factor that if he hadn’t 'aced' the cognitive test he would be in trouble with the press despite having proven his dementia right in front of them. 'It would not be a good situation.' Finally, he dares anyone to match his incredible feat, as if he has just slayed a dragon and dropped it before us."
He also agreed emphatically with Trump's comment, "Anybody running for president should take a cognitive test.”
"And this one just flunked," said Stewartson.
