Former President Donald Trump complained that the media is no longer covering the cocaine that was discovered in the White House earlier this summer, during his speech at the "Club 47" gathering in Florida on Wednesday.
Trump called the cocaine "a stash you wouldn't believe" — and sarcastically said he "believes" President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden, who has struggled with substance abuse, had nothing to do with the drugs, suggesting that White House staff are using the cocaine to make the president alert enough to do speeches and events.
Trump has previously made that claim on his Truth Social platform, also suggesting that it could be special counsel Jack Smith, the prosecutor who has charged him with two separate criminal cases. He added at the time that Smith looks like a "crackhead."
POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?
The cocaine found at the White House triggered an investigation by the Secret Service, but no conclusive explanation was ever found for who brought the drugs in.
That lack of answers has led to a proliferation of conspiracy theories on the right, with extremist webcaster Alex Jones suggesting the Secret Service was putting out a public call for help because the president would have them murdered if the drugs were connected to his son.
There is no evidence of any of the Bidens engaging in drug use in the White House.
