Donald Trump is losing the money race against President Joe Biden and it could cost him the 2024 presidential election, according to the former President's onetime Communications director.

Alyssa Farah Griffin, Trump's former White House communications director, took to the air waves Tuesday as Biden secured the Democratic nomination. She argued the 45th president has political momentum ahead of the Nov. 5 election but is trailing far behind Biden when it comes to fattening up his coffers.

"Now, Donald Trump is in an advantageous position right now... he would win if the election were today," Griffin said during a panel discussion on CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360.

"But there are some huge vulnerabilities."

Specifically, Griffin pointed to former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley who, despite dropping out of the Republican presidential race, had secured more than 13 percent of the primary votes in Georgia, a key swing state.

"Joe Biden is massively outraising him," Griffin said. "And on top of that, you've got this Nikki Haley factor — these voters who just are not sure they're ever going to be able to be with him. Biden's got plenty of vulnerabilities, but Trump does as well."

Biden’s has an early financial advantage over Trump with $56 million in the bank and the Democratic National Convention reporting $24 million at the end of January, according to an NBC News report.

In comparison, Trump's campaign was working with $30 million and the Republican National Committee had $9 million on hand, the report noted.

Former Trump aide David Urban countered that Haley voters "May have never voted for Trump to begin with."

And Griffin noted Biden might not have the stamina to match Trump on the stump.

"It is going to be very long, eight months ahead," she said. "And yes Biden got momentum out of the State of the Union.

"I think he outperformed a lot of folks expectations; but maintaining that for the next eight months on the campaign trail, traveling across the country, that's exhausting. I've been there for it."

She continued: "He's going to have to do that to prove he's ready."
