'Very stable genius': Internet roasts Trump for making Christmas 'about himself'

Donald Trump on Monday was criticized for his Christmas posts, which he used to lash out at his enemies, including telling some that they should "rot in hell."

The former president has in the past used holidays as jumping off points to air his grievances, and this Christmas was no different. Trump targeted a DOJ official, whom he called a liar, as well as President Joe Biden and Special Counsel Jack Smith.

"Merry Christmas to all, including Crooked Joe Biden’s ONLY HOPE, Deranged Jack Smith, the out of control Lunatic who just hired outside attorneys, fresh from the SWAMP (unprecedented!), to help him with his poorly executed WITCH HUNT against 'TRUMP' and 'MAGA,'" Trump wrote.

Former federal prosecutor Joyce Vance had this to say about one of Trump's Christmas posts.

"Trump is currently having an ALL CAPS meltdown over on Truth Social on Christmas Day. Very stable genius," she wrote.

Former Republican Filipkowski responded to a Christmas post in which Trump wrote that "Obamacare is too expensive" and that he will find an alternative so that "people will be happy, not sad."

"Working on a health care plan during Christmas," he wrote. "He really cares about us!"

Regarding that same Obamacare comment, law professor Lee Kovarsky said, "[T]he best is that his followers need clarification on what the opposite of happy is."

"In a separate post, Filipkowski drew attention to another Trump Truth Social post in which the ex-president said simply that 2024 "will go down as the year of the great and fully coordinated illegal election interference by crooked Joe Biden..."

"Trump's festive, heartwarming, devout Christmas message," he Filipkowski wrote Monday.

In response to a Christmas post that Trump began with "They spied on my campaign," democracy expert Trygve Olson said Trump is unable to handle celebrating holidays.

He added:

"Here is the thing about those with Autocratic Personality Disorder -- everything, even Christmas, has to be about them. Meanwhile, Merry Christmas, everyone; thanks for following me. Now, let's all get off Twitter and enjoy friends and family."

Former Republican lawmaker Joe Walsh also shared a piece of art showing Trump. It says, "Trump is at his worst on holidays because they aren't about him, which he considers the only thing worth celebrating."
