President Donald Trump has raked in more than a half billion dollars through a mysterious network of nonprofits and cultural institutions, the Wall Street Journal revealed Wednesday night.

Questions remain about Trump's efforts to pump private donors for cash and "stash" it away — but enough is known to have rendered a crew of Wall Street Journal investigators stunned.

"Presidents have always raised money from private donors—to run for office, throw inaugural balls and build presidential libraries," they wrote. "But Donald Trump has turned his second term into an unprecedented fundraising blitz."

The Journal delved into fundraising efforts involving super PACs, the Donald J. Trump Presidential Library Foundation, the Trust for the National Mall and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, among others.

The investigators suggested these funds are driving Trump policy.

"Companies seeking lucrative contracts or favorable policies from the administration have poured millions of dollars into these funds, which have become a key tool for Trump to pursue his political and personal priorities," the Journal reported. "He has used them to oust his political opponents, change the cultural face of the nation’s capital and boost his postpresidency legacy."

The total Trump-linked groups have raised since the 2024 election, according to the Journal: more than $781,948,878.
