The pile-up of monumental events currently overwhelming Donald Trump’s White House gave MS NOW’s Mika Brzezinski an opening to go on an extended rant on Wednesday morning when she lashed out at the administration from top to bottom.
After watching a clip of Trump engaging in a softball interview with Fox News personality Will Cain, the “Morning Joe” host exploded with, “People are looking at this and saying, what the hell is going on?”
She then launched into a lengthy diatribe centered around the killing of 37-year-old Alex Pretti by DHS agents in Minnesota.
“For people to trust you, you have to be able to admit when you are wrong or you have to hold those, as a leader accountable when they are wrong,” she exclaimed. “If they are wrong and to find out if someone is wrong, you have to actually have a proper investigation, none of which is happening right now. Nothing has changed that matters.”
“Words are shifting slightly, but nothing has tangibly changed that matters,” she continued. “If I'm wrong, let me know. But this is a moment where trust could erode further and impact poll numbers and elections, but also public safety.”
Turning back to what is being called a “public execution,” she changed her aim and added, “Why aren't these agents on administrative leave? And are they still out in the field? Are they still working? Because, you know, the argument the vice president made was that, JD Vance said that Rene Good’s killer was a little upset because six months ago, he had been forcibly hit by a car driven by somebody, and it caused grave injury to him. Why was he out in the field? Where is the procedure for putting people out in the field?”
“And are these people trigger-happy thugs, which a lot of people are calling them?” she asked. “They're proving to be terrible at their job. These ICE agents, they look like bumbling idiots slipping on the ice and pulling out their guns and just shooting wildly. Where are the questions behind that?”
