Trump's lawyer called out for going on Fox News to rant instead of paying attention to impeachment arguments

Instead of watching the prosecution of his client, Donald Trump defense attorney David Schoen on Thursday was busy appearing on Fox News.

"It says something about the political nature of impeachment and the importance of "winning the narrative" that while Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) is presenting in the chamber, Trump lawyer David Schoen is getting wired up for a live shot at the Fox News camera in Russell Rotunda," NBC News correspondent Garrett Haake reported.

Associated Press reporter Philip Crowther posted a photo of Schoen speaking on TV instead of listening to the Senate trial.

Crowther asked Schoen why he wasn't listening to the trial.

"It's very important for the American public to know exactly what's going on here", he said, even though he could not know what was going on as he was not watching the trial.

Schoen also spoke with CNN chief congressional correspondent Manu Raju.

"It's more of the same thing, they're showing points that don't exist," Schoen said, even though he could not know that to be true.
